For the crust:

πŸƒ 2 cups all-purpose flour

πŸƒ 2 tbsp Everyday Matcha (sifted)

πŸƒ 1 tbsp sugar

πŸƒ Β½ tsp salt

πŸƒ ΒΎ cup cold butter (cubed)

πŸƒ 4–5 tbsp ice water

πŸ“ŒFor the filling:

πŸƒ 4 medium apples (peeled and sliced thin)

πŸƒ ΒΌ cup brown sugar

πŸƒ 2 tbsp white sugar

πŸƒ 1 tsp cinnamon

πŸƒ 1 tbsp cornstarch

πŸƒ 1 tbsp lemon juice

πŸƒ Pinch of salt


πŸ“ŒInstructions

✨ Make the crust: 

πŸƒ Take a large bowl, whisk flour, matcha, salt, and sugar.

πŸƒ Add butter and mix with a pastry blender until crumbly.

πŸƒ Keep on adding ice water 1 tbsp at a time until the dough just comes together.Β 

πŸƒ Divide into two, shape into discs, wrap, and chill for 30 minutes.

✨ Prepare the filling: 

πŸƒ Mix sliced apples with sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt. Toss well and set aside.

πŸƒ Assemble: Roll out one dough disc, fit it into a pie pan, and fill with the apple mixture. Top with the second crust (or lattice design), seal edges, and cut small slits for steam.

πŸƒ Bake: Brush with milk or melted butter. Bake at 180Β°C (350Β°F) for 45–50 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
